Music honors for Alyssa Stauffer

Solanco High School junior Alyssa Stauffer has been selected for the 2016-2017 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 7 Honor Band. Solanco High School music teacher Scott Weyman said Alyssa will participate in the District 7 “Lower” Band (southern schools across PMEA District 7) on February 10-11 at Eastern York High School.

Solanco School Board reorganization

The Solanco School Board held its annual reorganization meeting on Monday, December 5. Steve Risk was unanimously elected to his second one-year term as board president, and Paul Plechner was reelected as vice president. The school board also voted to retain the firm of Kegel, Kelin, Almy and Lord, LLP, as solicitor for the district.
