The Solanco School District has established the following goals and objectives to increase the quality of educational services:
1.0 Maintain a plan for rigorous staff development opportunities that support
district initiatives at all levels.
1.1 Improve academic achievement by integrating reading and writing into every
curriculum at all grade levels by utilizing appropriate staff development
techniques and strategies
1.2 Complete the implementation and coordination of Learning Focused
instruction at all grade levels.
1.3 Design and implement high quality professional staff development that
directly translates to excellence in instruction, resulting in higher student
achievement.
1.4 Implement staff development programs for support staff in all district
departments.
2.0 Maintain and improve school/community relations.
2.1 Continue to provide taxpayer/parent opportunities to connect with school
district programs.
2.2 Maintain clear lines of communication with all district constituencies.
2.3 Increase efforts to share district strengths and successes with the Solanco
community.
2.4 Develop and implement “SMILES Program” (Senior Tax Assistance Program).
3.0 Continue to provide the learning community with updated technology and
information delivery systems.
3.1 Develop web-based instructional and support programs for student, staff and
community access.
3.2 Continue to provide direction, support, and training for the continuous
integration of technology into all academic programs and support staff areas.
4.0 Enhance cross-building communication to improve instructional and support
service delivery.
4.1 Increase opportunities for purposeful subject/grade level planning and
communication.
4.2 Strengthen and expand district cohesiveness and collaboration.
5.0 Assure a safe and secure learning environment for all students and staff.
5.1 Continue the use of programs that teach and reinforce appropriate student
behavioral and decision-making skills. |
