Welcome to Solanco High School. My name is Brian Gallagher and I am beginning my first year as the principal of Solanco High. Prior to Solanco, I was an assistant principal at South Western High School in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Before that, most of my career was spent with the Waynesboro Area School District as a middle school and junior high school math teacher. I earned a bachelor's degree in math education from Shippensburg University, a master's degree in mathematics from The Ohio State University, and completed my principal's certification at McDaniel College.

During the process of meeting the staff, I heard a recurring theme. The teachers spoke very highly of the students and have told me how much they enjoy working with them. I have been told repeatedly that the students are nice, hard-working kids. The teachers are enthusiastic about working with the students in class as well as in extracurricular activities and clubs.

The staff is committed to student achievement. The teachers have been trained in Classrooms For the Future (CFF) and Learning Focused Schools (LFS). After two years of training and professional development in CFF, we are looking forward to blending these two models in order to have Solanco students college or career ready upon graduation.
