Solanco School Bus Transportation Changes
Quarryville - After a year-long study on the usage of district-provided, after-school transportation, the Solanco School District has eliminated late buses or “activity” buses. Late buses typically carry students home following their after-school participation in sports and other activities. The district studied late bus transportation for one year, and it was found that each of the four late buses usually served no more than four students an evening; all four buses carried a total of 16 students per evening. Eliminating the late bus service will save the Solanco School District approximately $53,000 per year.
