Submission of Bids – Bids will be accepted through the online forum at   Bids are due on or before 4:00 P.M., prevailing time, July 26, 2024. 

  1. Selection or Rejection of Bids – The Solanco School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to accept or reject any parts thereof, or items therein, and to waive any informalities in connection therewith at its discretion, and to make the award that is determined to be in the best interest of the District. 
  • Items are available for inspection at the District Warehouse, 44 E. Fourth St., Quarryville, PA, at the times listed below or by appointment.

  • Municibid assesses a fee to the successful bidder upon the awarding of a bid.
  • All items are sold “as is.”  Payment is required before successful bidder’s removal of items from the premises.  Successful bidders will be notified by Municibid of their bid award.
  • No bidder may withdraw their bid – all bids are final.
  • No rights shall accrue to any person submitting a bid until such bid has been accepted, and the successful bidder is notified in writing, by email, or by phone.
  • Buyer must issue payment for the bid amount, directly to the school district, prior to picking up their awarded purchase.  A $35.00 fee will be assessed for returned checks.  Checks must be issued payable to:  Solanco School District.
  1. If applicable, the school district will schedule the transfer of vehicle titles at a local notary.  The successful bidder will be financially responsibility for 100% of the cost of the title transfer and other related fees. 
  1. The successful bidder shall not assign the removal of items in whole, nor any portion thereof, to others without the express consent, in writing, from the Solanco School Board.  The successful bidder is responsible for the removal of the awarded item.
  1. All applicable laws shall be deemed to be part of these specifications and the contract shall be read and enforced as though they were included.   All bids placed through Municibid will be subject to Municibid’s terms and conditions:   
  1. Default – In the event any items are not removed from the premises within the allotted timeframe, unless otherwise instructed, successful bidder will forfeit any rights to such items.  Solanco School District shall then have sole discretion as to the removal and disposition of such items.  Payment collected from the bid/sale will remain the property of the Solanco School District.
  1. Preparation of Bids – Bid figures shall include all costs including any to dismantle and remove any item from its present location or reassemble the equipment.  Such costs are the sole responsibility of the successful bidder.
  1. Award – Municibid will issue an email to the successful bidder.  The award notification shall constitute (1) a binding contract on the terms set forth therein and (2) the entire contract, and is to be interpreted, construed, and given effect in all respects according to the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
  1. Rights and Remedies – The rights and remedies of the Solanco School District provided above shall not be exclusive and are in addition to any other rights and remedies provided by law or under the contract.
  1. REMOVAL/PICK-UPAfter award notification is received, successful bidder must contact the Solanco School District Business Office at least 48 hours in advance to arrange for removal of awarded itemsAll items must be removed no later than August 9, 2024.   Appointments may be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 am and 2:00 pm, weekdays.  Please contact Sam Furchess to schedule an appointment at (717)875-6402, if Sam is not available, you can reach out to Bryce Schmidt at (717)786-5607.
