The Solanco School District, Quarryville, Lancaster County, Pennsylvania will receive bids for Cooling Tower Replacement at Quarryville Elementary School. Bids will be received until May 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM, prevailing time.

Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Cooling Tower Replacement at Quarryville Elementary School” and delivered to the Solanco School District Business Office, 121 South Hess Street, Quarryville, PA 17566-1200.

The bid opening will take place on May 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Solanco School District Administration Office. The bids will be publicly read.

Each bid must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond of a surety company legally authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten (10%) of the bid.

No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the actual opening of bids.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory performance and payment bond or bonds in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price within ten (10) days after the Contract has been awarded and may also be required to furnish a Contractor’s Qualification Statement.

Solanco School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to accept or reject any parts thereof, or items therein, and to waive any defects or irregularities in bids and bid securities, and to make the award that is determined to be in the best interest of the District.

Electronic Bidding Documents may be secured by bona-fide bidders on or after April 12, 2024. All Bidders are required to obtain Bid Documents through Moore Engineering Company or their bids can be rejected. Bid documents may be requested by calling Moore Engineering Company at (717) 285-3141.

The project is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act, P.L. 744 and the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Acts.

Bidders shall refer to the provisions of Federal and State Statutes, Rules and Regulations dealing with the prevention of environmental pollution and the preservation of public, natural resources that affect the project, said provisions being submitted as part of the Specifications pursuant to Act No. 247 of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania approved October 26, 1972.
