Act 71 Suicide Awareness & Prevention Online Training

Online interactive training program for educators and school staff. Designed in a series of 8 courses, it addresses the critical but limited responsibilities of educators in the process of identification and referral of potentially suicidal youth. It focuses on the practical realities and challenges inherent in the school setting through a variety of training formats that include lecture, question and answer, and role plays. This training is available free of charge. Upon completion of this accredited 4-hour activity you will receive a certificate of completion. In PA, the four hours of training may be recognized as professional development or fulfill legislative requirements.

Upon registering, you will receive an account confirmation email.  Select Suicide Prevention for Educators.

Please note – all courses must be completed to receive a certificate.  There is a pre-course quiz and a post-course quiz for each of the 8 courses.   You must watch the video before taking the post-course quiz.  You can pause or restart the video but cannot move back or fast forward.  The pre and post evaluation questionnaires are voluntary but if you choose to not take the quiz, you must make that selection.
