This message is for families of Solanco High School students:

We have been made aware of social media rumors of a threat regarding Solanco High School.

When we received this notification, we investigated it immediately, including consulting with law enforcement.

There has been no threat of violence.  However, out of an abundance of caution, we want to continue to thoroughly investigate it further to fully disprove it.

We put student safety first and foremost, and we appreciate your understanding.

As a result, Solanco High School will switch to a Remote Learning Day for Friday, December 10. Solanco High Students are not to report to the building, including CTC students.

Students, please check your email for instructions about the Remote Learning Day.

Solanco follows a detailed protocol when any such rumor or statement is made and treats any such situation seriously.

We greatly appreciate all of those who notified us of this, especially those who notified us directly.  We appreciate all of those who work with us to make sure Solanco is a safe learning environment.
