We are pleased to announce that Solanco High School will present its winter musical, Seussical on March 3-5, 2022. This imaginative and exciting family-friendly adventure takes the audience through well-known Dr. Seuss stories including Horton Hears a Who, Horton Hatches an Egg, and The One-Feathered Tail of Gertrude McFuzz narrated by the beloved Cat in the Hat. Written by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, Seussical was a Broadway spectacle in the 2000-2001 season and completed a successful national tour beginning in 2002. Seussical is consistently one of the most popular productions in schools and theaters around the country. Seussical Now one of the most performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza! The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. Seussical is fun for the whole family! www.showtix4u.com

.  Tickets at the door are $12 for adults and $10 for students and senior citizens.
