2025 Lancaster County Young Artists & The Scholastic Art Awards Online Exhibition (Be sure to check out this link to view the amazing talents of our students!)
Solanco award-winning artists have an excellent showing in this year’s 2025 Lancaster County Young Artists & Scholastic Art Awards exhibition winning an impressive 22 awards! Awards include 6 Gold Awards, 3 Silver Awards, 13 Honorable Mention Awards, and 1 nomination for the American Visions Award in Ceramics and Glass! Scholastic Art Awards works honored with 3 Gold Key Awards and 1 nomination for the American Visions Award in Ceramics and Glass have been forwarded to New York for national adjudication.

Addison Boyd, Picnic Tea Set, earthenware, glaze | 2 Gold Awards and American Visions Nominee in (Ceramics & Glass)
Congratulations to Solanco High School senior, Addison Boyd, on her outstanding artistic achievements! Boyd earned two Gold Awards for her artwork, Picnic Tea Set, and has also been nominated for the prestigious American Visions Award (Ceramic and Glass) as part of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition. We wish her the best of luck as her piece advances through the nomination process and competes at the national level!
In addition, Special Awards from Lancaster County Young Artists were named, including Blake Jenkins, Merit Award ($25) for the drawing, “Backbone” and Addison Boyd – Ceramic Award in Memory of Caroline Henderson ($65), for the ceramic sculpture, “Picnic Tea Set”. The Pennsylvania College of Art and Design also announced the – Creative Futures Silver Award Scholarship Recipients – $4,000 ($1,000 each year attending PCA&D), winners include Ashlyn Brown and Hannah Chen.

Established in 1923, the Scholastic Art Awards, presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, is the longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teens in grades 7 to 12 in the United States. Visual arts professionals serve as judges, selecting works based on originality, technical skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. The mission of the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their visionary work to the world through recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships.
The Lancaster Museum of Art and the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design in Lancaster are honored to host this annual regional exhibition to celebrate the creativity of young artists from Lancaster County. Solanco award-winning work in the Lancaster County Young Artists & Scholastic Art Awards Exhibition is on exhibition from March 8, 2025 through April 27, 2025 at the Lancaster Museum of Art located at 135 North Lime Street, Lancaster, PA.
With all the awards totaled, Solanco received over $18,000 in awards/scholarships!
