Jostens has announced that Solanco High School has been named as a Renaissance School of Distinction.
The Jostens Renaissance School of Distinction designation was created to celebrate those schools that are making a positive impact on their school climate and culture through executing the Jostens Renaissance formula: RESPECT + RECOGNIZE + REWARD + REINFORCE + RELATIONSHIPS = RESULTS.

The School of Distinction award designation was achieved by 84 schools across North America and demonstrates the highest level of accomplishment. To reach this level, schools implemented strategies in eight or more separate areas, and also described and documented their successes through a rigorous application process. Silver is the lowest level, with the fewest requirements, then Gold, and then Platinum, which is the ultimate level of recognition a school can receive from Jostens Renaissance. The ambassadors are kind, hardworking students that truly embody our motto of never outworked in everything they do,” quoted Judy Richardson and Jenna Whitehaus the co-advisors to the Renaissance Program.
Principal Dr. Scott Long wrote “I am incredibly proud of our school for earning the Platinum School of Distinction Award. This achievement is the result of the tireless efforts of many, especially Judy Richardson and Jenna Coleman, who have worked hard to make Solanco High School a place where students want to be. We are committed to recognizing the great things our students accomplish each day. I am excited to see what the 2024-2025 school year has in store for us.”
Solanco High School was recognized at the 2024 Jostens Renaissance Global Conference in Orlando in July, 2024 and will receive a personalized poster and other recognition items to commemorate this achievement.
